contests or tournaments

just looking for some fun tournaments in or around Minnesota that are reasonable and enter able without any memberships or restrictions

I don't know of too many tournaments, but I know that Lake Ann in Chanhassen is having a fishing contest on the 4th of July. I believe it is 7am to 11am. You could probably find more info by contacting the city of Chanhassen. I believe it is a free contest.
