Fun At A-1 6/24/12

Me and my buddy Dave P took the kayaks out for our 1st trip too A-1 this year.Water was low and unbelievably clear.Dave started things of on his 3rd cast with a 2 pounder and a 3 pounder with his 5th.Took me a bit too catch up but i ended the day with 17 bass(11 keepers 6 dinks) and Dave had 9 keepers,we each had a couple in the 3 pound range.

  • Geez didn't even think of that I am mostly shore bound do they have the dike all blocked off?

  • if you obey signs that say NO TRESSPASSING then the ramp is closed,if you dont feel free to use the ramp i do.Been told by locals that you can't use the ramp when the guys are working there,i only go on Sundays so no chance of anyone working.

  • I bet the fishing is great there now that the boat ramp has been closed for a couple of years.

  • is the boat ramp open?
