Went out for a while today.caught 6 and missed five or six. Some missed and some were on then off.All fish caught on a Berkely Chigger craw texas rigged with a bullet weight.First fish 4.7 pounds,2nd fish 2.5 pounds,3rd fish 2.11 pounds,4th fish 4.1 pounds,5th fish 2.4 pounds.Had one other smaller one first thing but culled that one.Total day in 4 hours 15.12.Happy with that especially since I was only competing with myself. That's why I have no pictures, lol.

Started about 7a.m. on the shoreline left of the ramp.About 5 casts in hooked into a 4.7 large mouth on a jig in 6 feet of water.Fish were busting every where. Not sure what they were but got no bite from them.We kept working on them but nothing.Further up there were a couple of docks,I skipped a senko under one and hooked up on a 5.15 large mouth.Quite the battle with light line,it did not want to come out of that dock.Looking right at her with her nose on the post all I could do is keep tension on the line. Finally she came off it and out so Nelson could get her in the net.We went to the next 2 coves with no results.
Down to the other end we went.A couple other boats were there so we had to pick our spots. No fish in the pads or weeds,A couple seen on beds that would not bite.Had one on in a tree that came off,Then Nelson got a 2.2 largemouth in the trees.Nothing else except for a small larry and 3 small sallies.Wind was 5 to 12 and water temp was 68 to 70.

Warm morning 60 degrees, light west wind and sunny.Started out fishing the submerged rocks with not much action.Moved out to the rock point and picked up a small one. After a few more casts went to the corner, and caught a small one. After I decided to work deeper I picked a 2 pounder. Two casts later got a 4.76 kicker. It still seemed slow for Sampsons.I worked the area a little more with a couple of small ones, then moved on.Back to the rock point got bit and missed.Worked the grass up to the next point got a few more small ones.Picked up my buddy at 10 a.m.and looked for the submerged rocks.Found them and picked up four or five decent 2 to 3 pound bass.Moved back to the point and got another small one.O.k. back to the corner got a 3.52 then a 2.24,then a 2.44.The deeper weed beds was where they were today. Our best five weighed in at 15.40 pounds.

Landed some decent fish today. The biggest weighed were 3.65 and 4.25.I caught multiple 2 plus pound fish in different spots. At least 3 good fish jumped and spit me out, with some smaller fish also. The three good ones looked to be 3 to 4 plus pounds.

Another day on the water with my buddy Scott.Sunny and warm with wind from 7 to 15.Air temp started at 50 then got to about 70 or so.Don't know what the water temp.was.We started about six or so,got onto some baitfish right away and Scott pulled one in.I had a few bites but missed them.We kept cruising the shoreline to find bigger fish then I hooked into a 3 and half. They were spotty so we kept moving. The wind picked up and we blew down the shoreline, then tucked into a shallow cove and Scott picked a 2 and a half.Threw out deeper and hooked up,fish on,then it came off.Lost about 8 or more fish today after hook up and drag pull. They felt like good fish too.Best five of the day,3.72,1.80,2.44,3.32,2.24.Total weight,13.55 pounds.

Went to Oldham Saturday April 7.Fifteen mile an hour wind from the nne.Water temp.49 to 51degrees,air temp from 32 to about 50 degrees. We had a slow start and couldn't find fish in the usual spots.I guess 6 a.m. was a little too early.Got the first one around 10:30 then we picked up two more, then nothing for a while. We went to the other side of the island,I got another then Scotty got two three pounders, then a few misses. We moved again. Then I got a three pounder and then another. We decided to call it quits around 1:30.Six fish three to three and a half pounds and four others around two,not a bad day on the water.Oh yeah we need to teach Scott how to use a camera.haha
